Reflective Consultation
Reflect, wonder, learn
Reflective consultation is the process of slowing down to consider one’s work from a larger perspective. Reflection allows us to become aware of our thoughts, reactions, and biases that influence our work. Rooted in attachment theory, reflective consultation also provides an opportunity to model and build relationships at all levels in an organization. Reflective consultation is an evidence based process that has been shown to reduce the impacts of secondary trauma, build cohesion, and reduce worker turnover (citation).
